Strong prospect selection is the cornerstone of Amerex’s viability. Our selection process relies on strategic industry partners, rigorous technical criteria and the consensus of our consultants and advisory board. It is this system of checks and balances which has led to our success and will continue to put Amerex in a position to fulfill our growth strategy.
We employ a variety of different state of the art technology in evaluating prospects in which we might take a position. It is usually not the practice for Amerex to assume 100% Interest in any of the prospects we select, as we prefer for our current and future partners to have an opportunity to participate with us.

The Maco Stewart #1

The well needs to have the velocity string (1-1/4” coiled tubing) pulled out of the 2 7/8” tubing. Amerex will pull the existing tubing and packer from the wellbore. Following this, BJ Services will perform a CO2 sand fracture treatment and install a gas compressor on the surface to maximize gas sales into the local pipeline.
It is believed that production could be established at 550 to 2 million cubic feet gas per day and result in 3 to 4+ BCF of gas reserves, and payout within a few months from first production date.

Giddings Field

Phase One of the project called for 10-12 wells to be re entered and to drill short to medium radius lateral legs in each wellbore. The anticipated recovery of oil per well is expected to be between 75,000 to 150,000 per wellbore. The target zone is the Buda and Upper Austin Chalk in a proven and well developed field. Amerex has a joint venture agreement with Holifield Oil Company to participate in this prospect.
Holifield Oil Company has been active in the Giddings Field for over 30 years and has consulted, drilled and/or operated over 1500 wells in the counties which make up Giddings Field. Largely viewed as a “resource play” the Giddings Field project is a low risk opportunity for Amerex and our partners. For more information on the project, please click here to download the overview.

Quarry 1H
To plan, implement and establish productivity to the wellbore hydraulically utilizing staged acid assisted, high rate water fracture stimulation thereby isolating "broken back" intervals with approximately 7,000 barrels of water and adequate proppant material, thus allowing stimulation to reach and open up the individual productive intervals at the extremity of the lateral.
It is estimated that production could be established at 2 to 4 million cubic feet gas per day or greater and result in 3 to 4+ BCF of gas reserves, and payout within a few months from first production date.
